Challenge

Buddle Findlay is a ‘top 5’ law firm nationally but its website wasn’t really doing it justice. So they turned to us to create a responsive website that made them look more contemporary and the user journey more straightforward.

Approach

The website always housed a wealth of content, but finding it or knowing who to contact next wasn’t always easy. What they needed was someone to come along and order it into a logical structure. Based on stakeholder interviews and business analysis we developed a balanced top-level site, with access to deep, specific content from the homepage. We rewrote page summaries to be punchier and more accessible, defined key user site templates across multiple screen sizes, and created an extensive image library. On top of this we also added rich linking to encourage new user pathways, exposure to relevant content firm-wide and clear links from content to real people.

Outcome

A responsive website complete with new content management system that ticks the boxes for international growth, thought leadership and the right connections. Confident yet approachable in design, it places people at the heart of the business and incorporates Buddle Findlay’s graduation programme (previously a microsite) for greater cohesion.
